Nancy Cox is a four-time Emmy Award winning news anchor and reporter. She has also received a regional Edward R. Murrow and multiple Kentucky Associated Press awards.
Nancy is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Western Kentucky University. After serving a year as Miss Kentucky and competing in the Miss America pageant, she feels blessed to have been able to spend her entire career in the home state she loves. Nancy is in her twenty-sixth year at WLEX-TV in Lexington, Kentucky, anchoring the station’s four evening newscasts. In that time, she has covered more than 20 elections, a presidential inauguration, a one-on-one sit down interview with Hillary Clinton in the final weeks of her 2008 campaign for President, and eighteen Kentucky Derbies.
The American Heart Association, Salvation Army and numerous local causes have been the focus of her outreach during her nearly 3 decades in Lexington TV. Nancy has previously served on the boards of Campbellsville University, Kentucky’s Outstanding Young Women Program, and the Ohio Valley Chapter of NATAS.
