Linda Giannecchini has worked independently for cooking shows, public affairs programs, sporting events, concerts, telethons, conventions, award shows, and corporate productions in the capacity of Producer, Director, Line Producer, Assistant Director, Production Coordinator, Electronic Graphics, Closed Captioner, or Event Planner. Currently she is Assistant Director for KQED Public Media (PBS), and Senior Vice President for Franklin Mieuli & Associates, a consulting company specializing in sports remotes.
Linda is a Life Member of NATAS, Chair of the National Awards Committee and Trustee. She previously served as National Vice Chairman, Vice President and Secretary. Locally, Linda was President of the San Francisco/Northern California Chapter and chair of Awards, Scholarship and Speakers’ Bureau throughout her NATAS career. She currently co-chairs the Chapter’s Archives/Museum Committee and the Consortium for the Media Museum of Northern California. She is the recipient of two regional Emmy® awards; numerous nominations, the Governors’ Award (2011) and Service Medallion (1990) for distinguished service; and is a member of the Silver Circle. She also holds memberships in RTNDA, Broadcast Legends, and AMIA.
Linda received a B.A. degree in Broadcast Communication Arts and post-graduate studies from San Francisco State University. She has taught television production courses there as well as at College of San Mateo.
