Arlington, Va., June 12, 2008 – The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today announced a partnership with the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) for the 2009 International CES. As part of the partnership, NATAS will launch a new Global Media Awards program focused on technology and content programming at the 2009 CES. “The International CES is the global intersection of digital entertainment and technology,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA. “The companies responsible for bringing new digital media and content to consumers around the world deserve special recognition and the International CES is the perfect venue for this new awards program. We’re thrilled to partner with NATAS to bring this new collaboration to the CES show floor.”
